Most UK limited companies are registered within 24 hours of submitting the application to Companies House. Online applications filed before 3pm on a working day are often approved the same day, sometimes within a few hours. Paper applications take 8–10 working days and cost more, so they're rarely worth the wait. You'll receive your Certificate of Incorporation by email as soon as Companies House approves the application and your Authentication Code arrives by post within a week. Sole traders register with HMRC instead of Companies House - that's a same-day process, with your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) arriving by post within 10 working days. Advice plans are either monthly rolling rolling or 12 month commit. Annual subscriptions cannot be cancelled once purchased until 12 months after. All account creations are completed immediately after purchase and can't be cancelled either.
